Scope of This Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This Policy may apply to the following types of payments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ASCCS membership fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Voluntary contributions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Event or program participation fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Travel, tour, or pilgrimage-related payments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Charges for specific activities or services, where applicable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other payments expressly authorized by ASCCS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The refund and cancellation terms may differ depending upon the nature of the payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where special terms are provided for a particular event, tour, activity, or service, those specific terms shall apply in addition to or, where expressly stated, instead of the general provisions of this Policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Membership Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Membership fees, where applicable, are paid for processing and maintaining membership with ASCCS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once membership has been approved and activated, membership fees are generally <strong>non-refundable<\/strong>, except where:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ASCCS expressly agrees to a refund;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the payment was made more than once by mistake;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the payment was received in error;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a refund is required under applicable law; or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ASCCS is unable to provide the membership for reasons attributable to ASCCS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If an application is rejected before membership is activated, ASCCS may refund the applicable membership amount after deducting any permitted transaction or administrative charges, where applicable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any applicable refund will normally be processed to the original payment method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. Donations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Donations and voluntary contributions made to ASCCS are generally treated as voluntary contributions towards the charitable and welfare objectives of the Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accordingly, <strong>donations are generally non-refundable once successfully received<\/strong>, except where:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the payment was duplicated;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the amount was incorrectly charged;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the transaction was made due to a demonstrable technical error;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the payment was not intended for ASCCS;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a refund is required by applicable law; or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ASCCS, at its discretion, determines that a refund is appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A donor seeking correction or refund of an erroneous or duplicate transaction should contact ASCCS as soon as reasonably possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ASCCS may request transaction details or supporting documentation before processing a refund request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5. Travel, Tours and Pilgrimages<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ASCCS may facilitate or organize train journeys, flights, ship\/cruise journeys, tours, pilgrimages, accommodation, transportation, and related activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Travel-related payments may involve third-party service providers such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rail operators<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Airlines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cruise or ship operators<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hotels<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Travel agencies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tour operators<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transport providers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other service providers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cancellation and refund conditions imposed by these providers may apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where a travel booking has already been made with a third-party provider, any refund received by ASCCS from that provider may be passed on to the concerned member or participant after deducting applicable cancellation charges, non-refundable amounts, administrative expenses, transaction charges, or other permitted costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ASCCS does not guarantee that a third-party provider will approve or issue a refund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>7. Cancellation by a Member or Participant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A member or participant wishing to cancel a paid activity, event, tour, pilgrimage, or other service should notify ASCCS as early as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cancellation requests should preferably be sent by email to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>asccstvpm@gmail.com<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The request should include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Membership number, if applicable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contact number<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Name of the activity\/service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Date of payment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Amount paid<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payment\/transaction reference number<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reason for cancellation, where relevant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Refund eligibility will be determined according to the applicable terms of the particular activity or service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>8. Cancellation by ASCCS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ASCCS reserves the right to cancel, postpone, modify, reschedule, or discontinue an event, activity, tour, pilgrimage, or service due to circumstances including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Insufficient participation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operational reasons<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safety concerns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unavailability of service providers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Government restrictions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transportation issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Natural disasters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Severe weather<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medical or health-related circumstances<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Force majeure events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of ASCCS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where ASCCS cancels an activity for reasons attributable to ASCCS, the Society will communicate the applicable refund or alternative arrangement to affected participants, subject to amounts already paid to third-party providers and applicable terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>9. Refund Processing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where a refund is approved, ASCCS will normally initiate the refund using the original payment method wherever reasonably possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The actual time taken for the refunded amount to appear in the user&#8217;s bank account or payment account may depend on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Banks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Credit\/debit-card providers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payment gateways<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UPI service providers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other financial institutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ASCCS cannot guarantee the exact time required by a third-party financial institution to complete a refund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>11.
